About ADHD Active
ADHD Active is a small private ADHD service in the UK that assesses, diagnoses and treats children, young people and adults online. It is led by Tahmina Ayaan, an ADHD specialist and pharmacist independent prescriber registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council, and works to NICE guidance and DSM-5 criteria. Because the clinician who diagnoses can also prescribe, the service is set up to take someone from a first conversation through to a settled medication plan, and a free 15-minute consultation is available before booking.
Assessment follows a stepped route: initial screening, background information, a clinical interview using the DIVA-5 tool, rating scales and questionnaires, a diagnostic decision and then treatment planning. Child assessments draw in parents, carers and school reports. A QbCheck can be added for an extra fee. After diagnosis, treatment is started and titrated where clinically appropriate, with reviews that look at attention, emotional regulation, sleep and how daily life is going at home, school, university or work. Prescriptions are sent out by recorded delivery.
The service also takes on adults diagnosed elsewhere for a medication review, which includes an hour-long session, a GP letter, a prescription and a draft shared care agreement — though the GP decides whether to accept shared care. ADHD Active is clear that medication is not the only option, and offers ADHD-focused coaching and lifestyle changes alongside or instead of it. Assessment, consultation and treatment package fees are listed on its pricing page, with medication charged separately. An ASRS-v1.1 adult screening quiz on the site offers a first check, not a diagnosis. The service is run by ADHD Active Limited, registered in England and Wales (16483113).

I already have an ADHD diagnosis from another provider — can ADHD Active take over?
Yes. Adults diagnosed elsewhere can book a medication review, which includes an hour-long session, a GP letter, a prescription and a draft shared care agreement.
