Alex McGuinness - Connect Coaching
Hi, I’m Alex, a neurodiversity coach and consultant.
I support autistic, ADHD, and otherwise neurodivergent adults who want to better understand themselves and find practical ways to navigate work, life, and relationships in a way that fits how their brain works.
I’m autistic myself and have spent more than twenty years working alongside neurodivergent people in education, employment, and community settings. During that time I have supported individuals at many different stages of life, including people exploring their neurodivergent identity for the first time and professionals managing complex workplace demands.
My coaching provides a structured and supportive space to reflect, problem solve, and develop practical strategies. Many clients come to coaching because they feel overwhelmed, stuck, or exhausted from trying to meet expectations that do not fit how they work best.
Rather than trying to change who you are, we focus on understanding your needs, recognising your strengths, and building systems that make day-to-day life more manageable.
Areas I commonly support clients with include:
• Understanding autistic or ADHD identity
• Managing burnout, overwhelm, and energy levels
• Executive functioning challenges such as task initiation and organisation
• Navigating work environments and career decisions
• Asking for reasonable adjustments
• Reducing the pressure to mask and feeling more comfortable being yourself
• Building confidence and self-understanding
My approach is strengths-based and informed by the social model of disability. I combine reflective coaching with practical tools so that sessions lead to real, lasting changes in everyday life.
Sessions are offered online, allowing me to work with clients across the UK and internationally.
