About Blusss

Blusss is a Belgian clothing brand for children and adults whose skin and nervous system react to what most people barely notice — seams, labels, scratchy fibres. It is built for sensory-sensitive people of any neurotype, and for families who have watched new clothes go unworn because getting dressed has become a daily flashpoint. Sizes run from age four through to adult XL, and the brand ships to the UK and around 30 other countries, pricing in pounds as well as euros.

The company was started in Herentals by An Luyten, who describes herself as a highly sensitive person, after her son Lex refused most of the clothes she bought him. It traded as SAM Sensory & More before becoming Blusss. The pieces were developed with a fashion designer who specialises in sensory processing, psychology professor Wim Tops of Hasselt University, and therapists, speech therapists, teachers and parents. The core range — trousers, shorts, T-shirts, long-sleeves, hoodies, underwear, socks, beanies and scarves — is seamless and label-free, made mainly from soft bamboo blends in OEKO-TEX certified materials, in plain, muted colours that do not look like specialist kit.

Beyond everyday clothing, Blusss designs for regulation as well as comfort. Its fidget hoodie builds a quiet tactile element into the garment itself, so restless hands have somewhere to go at school or work without a separate fidget toy on the desk. The shop also sells weighted collars, weighted "Sensory Cuddles", fidgets and chewies, and lets customers browse by need — skin sensitivity, focus, chewing, anxiety or meltdowns. Unworn items can be returned within 30 days, though underwear, fidgets and chewies cannot be returned once opened, so it is worth checking the size guide before ordering those.
