About FocusFlow (BETA)
FocusFlow is a web-based app, currently in beta, built to carry some of the everyday load of executive function — planning, remembering, starting and finishing things — for people who find that load heavy. It is aimed at people with ADHD, autism or dyslexia, and also at people living with chronic illness or brain injury, or anyone who finds daily life hard to keep organised. Rather than asking someone to juggle a to-do app, a calendar, a budgeting tool and a meal planner, it puts every area of life in one place, with the stated aim of avoiding overwhelm.
The core is a task board that breaks multi-step jobs into smaller chunks, with awards and other incentives for focusing and finishing — useful where the difficulty is knowing where to start rather than knowing what needs doing. Around it sit a calendar, personal routines and a directory of ready-made routines, a journal and notes. Household sections cover a shopping list, a pantry tracker, a meal planner and a recipe directory. Money tools include finance tracking, a Money Matters section and a benefits checker, and health tools include prescription tracking and short Get Grounded and Keep Fit sections.
A distinctive part of FocusFlow is its carer dashboard, with carer verification and messaging, so that a partner, parent or support worker can help someone manage their day inside the same app rather than through separate reminders. Because it is in beta, some features may not yet work as intended; the developer says data entered now will carry through to the full release, and beta users are asked to report problems and suggestions through the FocusFlow Facebook group. Pricing is not published on the site.
