Description

I provide specialist diagnostic assessments for Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLDs) and co-occurring neurodivergent conditions for adults and post-16 learners. My service is designed to offer a clear, supportive, and evidence-based pathway to understanding individual learning profiles and securing appropriate support.

Assessments cover dyslexia, dyspraxia/DCD, dyscalculia, and screening for ADHD and autism where appropriate. All assessments are carried out by me — a Chartered Psychologist (CPsychol) and HCPC-registered Practitioner Psychologist with over 25 years’ experience in neurodiversity assessment and support.

Reports meet SASC guidelines and are suitable for use in DSA (Disabled Students’ Allowance) applications, workplace adjustments, and academic or professional accommodations. Each assessment includes a thorough background review, standardised psychometric testing, a diagnostic formulation, and tailored recommendations focusing on both strengths and needs.

I offer both remote and in-person assessments across the UK, with a flexible and person-centred approach that recognises the impact of co-occurring conditions and lived experience. My goal is to ensure that each individual leaves the assessment process with a clearer understanding of their profile, increased confidence in their abilities, and practical strategies to support learning, study, and work.

I also provide guidance for education providers and employers, helping them implement effective, inclusive support in line with legal obligations and best practice in accessibility.

Dyslexia Assessments My dyslexia assessments provide a clear and comprehensive understanding of an individual’s cognitive and literacy profile. Designed for adults and post-16 learners, each assessment explores not only areas of difficulty but also strengths and learning preferences. The assessment process includes: A detailed background history to understand lived experiences and educational context. Standardised psychometric testing covering reading accuracy, fluency, comprehension, spelling, writing, phonological processing, memory, and processing speed. Cognitive testing to identify how information is processed and retained. A diagnostic formulation in line with SASC (SpLD Assessment Standards Committee) guidelines. A comprehensive written report suitable for DSA (Disabled Students’ Allowance) applications, workplace adjustments, and academic accommodations. Tailored recommendations and strategies to support learning, study, and performance at work or university. Assessments are carried out by a Chartered Psychologist (CPsychol) and HCPC-registered Practitioner Psychologist with over 25 years of experience in neurodiversity. All assessments can be conducted remotely or in person, making the process flexible and accessible. My aim is to ensure that individuals leave the process with clarity, validation, and practical support — not just a label, but a plan to thrive.
