Global ADHD Network — ADHD Training for Clinicians

Global ADHD Network is a UK-based training provider that teaches clinicians how to assess, diagnose and manage ADHD, alongside autism assessment training. Its courses are aimed at the people who carry clinical responsibility — psychiatrists and other doctors, nurses, pharmacists, psychologists, therapists and allied health professionals — though it also runs shorter programmes for teachers, employers and parents. For a neurodivergent reader, its relevance is indirect but real: the confidence and consistency of the clinician across the desk at an assessment or medication review depends a great deal on training of this kind.

The clinical core is a pair of ADHD courses. The diagnosis course covers diagnostic interviews, DSM-5 criteria, differential diagnosis, emotional dysregulation, executive function and report writing in children, adolescents and adults, and carries AMA PRA Category 1 credits through joint provision with the American Psychiatric Association as well as nursing and pharmacy CE hours. The management course deals with stimulant and non-stimulant prescribing, titration, monitoring, side effects, cardiovascular checks and shared care, framed around NICE guidance. On the autism side there are two-day ADI-R and ADOS-2 courses, the latter leading to specialist certification with a WPS-approved trainer, Michael J. Morrier, PhD, BCBA-D. Further courses cover ADHD in women, ADHD parenting and ADHD in the classroom, and a six-week hybrid programme trains ADHD clinical specialist coaches.

Courses are delivered live online, so they are open to clinicians internationally; the network says people from seven countries have trained with it. Every course is CPD-certified. There is also an observership academy offering hands-on clinical exposure, alongside a question bank, clinical templates, a research library, a careers board and a referrals network connecting clinicians.
