myHandiQR — Share a Disability Profile via QR Code

myHandiQR is a web tool that lets a family or an adult with an invisible disability write down, once, what other people need to know — and then share it through a QR code instead of explaining it again to every new teacher, club leader, carer, colleague or clinician. It is aimed at parents of disabled or neurodivergent children, at adults who are tired of repeating the same account of themselves, and at the family members who support them.

A profile has three parts written in the user's own words: a short personal introduction, what helps, and what to avoid. The user then picks the relevant conditions from a list that includes autism, ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia, epilepsy, aphasia, anxiety and sensory sensitivities. Anyone who scans the code sees that fact sheet exactly as written. If they tap a condition label, they get an AI-generated explanation pitched at who they are — plain language for a child, a teaching angle for an educator, a clinical version for a health professional — with an audio option. The code can go on printed stickers, wallet cards, labels or posters, in a school bag, on a medical card or in a wallet.

The tool was built by Jérôme Salanhac, a software engineer and father of two neurodivergent sons, and is run from France, which shows in details such as support for French workplace disability recognition (RQTH). It is available in French, English, Spanish, German, Italian and Dutch. Subscriptions are per profile, monthly or yearly, after a three-month free trial that needs no card, and there is no limit on how many times a code can be scanned. It is a communication aid for the person and their family rather than an assessment or support service.
