Description

Neuro Tide is a workplace-focused neuroinclusion consultancy based in Newcastle, working with public, private and third-sector organisations across the UK. Rather than positioning neurodivergent employees as the site of the problem, the service is built around changing organisational systems, processes and environments — training, auditing and coaching are offered to employers, HR teams and line managers, with the explicit aim of embedding neuroinclusive practice rather than running one-off awareness sessions.

The consultancy was founded by Mark Charlesworth in November 2023, following close to a decade of prior experience supporting organisations and individuals with neurodiversity and neuroinclusion since 2015. Over that time his practice moved away from direct one-to-one coaching and workplace assessments toward a more systemic focus, on the view that workplace barriers for neurodivergent staff are structural rather than individual failings to be corrected. This sits within the social model of disability — the emphasis is on adapting organisations rather than asking neurodivergent employees to adapt to fit them, though the site frames the resulting changes as benefiting the wider workforce as well as neurodivergent colleagues specifically.

Neuro Tide’s core offer is organised around several strands. Neuroinclusion audits examine how neurodivergent people experience a workplace in practice — physical environments and sensory conditions, written communications such as policies and forms, organisational processes including recruitment, onboarding and performance management, and digital platforms and content. Audits can produce a Neuroinclusion Score, rating elements on a simple scale and converting this to a percentage, giving organisations a baseline they can track over time. Training is delivered across a range of formats, from general neurodiversity and communication sessions through to line manager and HR-specific programmes, industry-tailored training for sectors such as hospitality, retail, transport and contact centres, and condition-specific sessions covering ADHD, autism and AuDHD, alongside shorter lunch-and-learn formats. Workplace assessments look at how individual neurodivergent employees experience their environment and systems, intended to inform decisions about adjustments, and this is complemented by adjustment coaching that supports individuals in navigating the adjustment process itself.

Beyond these core services, Neuro Tide runs Q&A drop-in sessions offering ongoing manager and staff support, neurodiversity inclusion surveys to gather feedback from employees and candidates, and broader consultancy work for organisations building a longer-term neuroinclusion strategy. The client list disclosed on the site spans local government (Leicestershire County Council, Stafford Borough Council), law (Gowling WLG), retail (Mountain Warehouse), property (JLL) and manufacturing (Marelli), indicating a client base that cuts across public and private sectors rather than concentrating in one industry.

Neuro Tide is best understood as an organisational consultancy rather than a service for individual neurodivergent people to engage directly — its work is commissioned by employers, and its output is intended to change how those employers operate. For UK organisations looking to move beyond a single training session toward audited, measurable change in recruitment, management practice and the physical and digital workplace, this is the kind of provider the audit and benchmarking offer is built for.
