WIPS — Free ADHD Task Companion
WIPS is a free task manager built from the ground up for ADHD brains — not a general to-do app with ADHD marketing added on, but a tool designed around the exact moment you open your list of forty-seven tasks and close it again. Its starting position is printed on its own homepage: that isn’t laziness, and it isn’t a character flaw — it’s a design problem, and WIPS is the fix.
Everything works the way an ADHD brain actually does. Brain Dump catches racing thoughts before they vanish, with no sorting required. Plain-language input turns “call the dentist tomorrow at 3” into a dated task on its own. Each day you pick your energy — Survival, Steady or Go — and WIPS shows only what fits, with no guilt about the rest. Clarity Mode shows exactly one task at a time; Focus Mode shows only your top three. Day Rhythm shapes the list around your brain’s natural curve rather than a generic nine-to-five. Completions earn XP, badges and gentle streaks that never punish a bad day, and the Ta-Da List celebrates what you finished instead of nagging about what you didn’t — making “I did nothing today” provably false. Zen Mode adds guided breathing and 5-4-3-2-1 grounding for when everything feels like too much.
Privacy is structural: no accounts, no sign-ups, no cloud sync, no tracking, no ads, ever — tasks stay on your device, always. The core app is free with an optional one-time Pro unlock and no subscription of any kind. WIPS runs right now as an installable web app in any modern browser and as a dedicated Windows app in the Microsoft Store, with Android and iOS releases planned.
